Millions of people face mobility challenges due to injury, illness, or disability, yet many lack access to the equipment they need to move independently.
The River Falls Rotary Club in collaboration with Crutches 4 Africa, will host two community-wide collection events. On Saturday, May 17 from 10AM-Noon we will have volunteers with collection barrels at the M Health Fairview Clinic located at 319 S Main St in River Falls. We will also have a collection opportunity on Saturday, May 24 from 10AM-Noon at Ptacek’s Family Market at 1121 S Main St in River Falls.
We hope to provide life-changing mobility aids to individuals in need across Africa. This initiative aims to collect and ship thousands of mobility devices to ensure these essential tools reach those who need them most. We will be accepting your new or used crutches, canes, walkers, orthotic devices, walking boots, braces, wheelchairs, and baby joggers (not baby strollers).
The River Falls Rotary is proud to support this effort, recognizing its dual impact—promoting climate and social justice while keeping valuable medical equipment out of landfills. By donating used crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs, and other mobility aids, community members can directly improve lives and contribute to a more sustainable future.
Every donated item brings hope and mobility to someone in need. Please help spread the word by sharing this event with your colleagues, family, and friends. If you have mobility devices you wish to donate but are unable to make the above collection dates, please contact the River Falls Rotary Club to arrange for us to pick up your donations by emailing riverfallsrotary@gmail.com or calling 715-441-2663.
