Presented by State Archeologist John Broihahn Wisconsin is home to one of the world?s largest and most diverse collections of human burial mounds. They range from small low domes and ridges to mounds shaped like animals, humans, and spirit beings. Learn how these mounds were used and why several mounds in northwestern Wisconsin are considered unusual for their size, method of construction, and contents.
