Are you aware of the many no-cost services offered to local businesses through the University of Wisconsin – River Falls Center of Innovation and Business Development (CIBD) and Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC)? Danielle Campeau and Steve DeWald will provide an overview of these services, as well as provide information on the opportunities available for businesses to partner with the University. These business consulting statewide networks support entrepreneurs and business owners through no-cost, confidential consulting and targeted educational programs. These regional experts offer facilitation improvement and growth for small and emerging mid-size companies, as well as offer assistance in launching successful new enterprises. Featured Speaker - Danielle Campeau
As the Director of the Center for Innovation and Business Development at the University of Wisconsin – River Falls, Danielle Campeau is responsible for supporting economic development and business growth by creating partnerships and leveraging resources between the community and the University. Ms. Campeau graduated from UW-River Falls with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Business Administration. She worked for 7 years at a local Healthcare company in various roles including managing a clinical support department, project management, information management systems, operations and corporate training. Ms. Campeau is excited to put her diverse experiences to work for the businesses in the St. Croix Valley region.
Featured Speaker - Steve DeWald
Steve DeWald is a CPA with 30+ years’ experience in public accounting and a Masters Degree in Management. Over this time period Steve gained considerable experience in business management and taxation. Steve has been the director of the Small Business Development Center since 2005 as well as instructor in several University courses, especially federal taxation.
