River Falls School District is seeking a Transportation Program Assistant. The program assistant supports the safe and efficient transport of students. Primary performance include:
• Establishing bus routes and assigning drivers.
• Supervision of transportation department throughout the day and during afternoon routes.
• Emergency planning
• Consultation with principals on student discipline and extra route scheduling.

• Recruitment and training of transportation employees.
• Willingness to acquire a CDL license with School Bus and Passenger endorsements within six months of employment, and drive as needed.
• Answer and problem solve a high volume of calls regarding student transportation needs from parents, students, and school staff.
• General office and reception duties.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, a strong communicator, and have effective interpersonal communication skills. Prior experience in school transportation is desired, but not required. The position is a full-time, 12-month salaried position. $25.33/hour or current step.
