Town Hall Meeting: Underage Drinking...
Description
In Spring, 2007 and 2008 River Falls students in grades 6-12 participated in the Risk and Protective Factor Youth Survey. A Community Forum was held in February sharing general information. Now it's time to get specific. Alcohol use among children and adolescents starts early and increases rapidly with age. On the 2008 survey, 15.3% of 8th graders, 25.5% of 10th graders, and 52.2% of 12th graders reported using alcohol in the past 30 days.
On Wednesday, April 2 from 6:30-8:30 PM at the River Falls Public Library, the River Falls Partnership for Youth will sponsor a Town Hall Meeting on Underage Drinking. This meeting will give us the opportunity to educate the community about the impact of underage drinking and to discuss how our community can best prevent underage alcohol use. River Falls will be one of hundreds of communities throughout the US that are holding Town Hall Meetings on Underage Drinking this week.
Come and be part of the solution!!!
