Description
When it comes to facility assessments, you can make the most of your efforts by focusing on the most common deficiencies that have the greatest potential for energy savings.
This two-part series will be a mix of live presentations and embedded DIY videos identifying deficiencies in actual facilities, as well as open dialog between attendees and the speakers. Join us as we roll up our sleeves for this fast-paced and interactive virtual training series.
Part 1 – DIY: Maximizing facility assessments for air systems
In this webinar, our speakers will discuss common deficiencies in air systems and demonstrate how to quickly identify them in real facilities—both with and without the help of a building automation system.
As a result of this webinar, you will be able to:
1. Describe common issues which increase the energy consumption used in the process of introducing fresh air into an air system.
2. Identify inappropriate and uncoordinated setpoints in common HVAC operations.
3. Explain the process for identifying failing valves and dampers at terminal units and air handling units.
4. Recognize priority sensors and explain how to validate their accuracy.
Part 2 – DIY: Maximizing facility assessments for hydronic systems
As with Part 1, this webinar focuses on common deficiencies, this time with a focus on hydronic systems. Through a mix of video, live presentation, and open dialogue, we'll discuss everything from pumps to cooling towers.
As a result of this webinar, you will be able to:
1. Describe common issues which increase pump energy consumption.
2. Explain the concept of outdoor air temperature reset and why it is beneficial in hot water and chilled water systems.
3. Explain energy savings opportunities related to the operation of cooling towers.
4. Recognize priority sensors and explain how to validate their accuracy.
Who should view this webinar:
Facility managers, building operators, maintenance staff of commercial and industrial buildings, business owners, retail/office managers, engineers, contractors, and anyone responsible for utility costs or interested in learning more about energy efficiency and reducing energy expenditures.
