Learn about current work force issues...
Description
You are invited to learn about current work force issues and participate in policy discussions that will affect work force development and training here and all around the state. UW–River Falls, in collaboration with Competitive Wisconsin, Inc. (CWI), will be holding a work force development briefing on Wed., July 18 from 9-10:30 a.m. at UW–River Falls Hudson Center located at 2501 Hanley Road, Suite 200 in Hudson. Nearly a dozen similar briefing sessions are being held all around the state.
During this 90-minute session, you’ll learn about work force development and training initiatives from around the state, hear an overview of local work force issues, and have the opportunity to participate in a discussion about work force challenges and opportunities. Your input may be used by CWI as part of its upcoming comprehensive BE BOLD 2Workforce Development Study being conducted by ManpowerGroup and McKinsey Global. A similar study and series of discussions two years ago resulted in BE BOLD: The Wisconsin Prosperity Strategy and was instrumental in the creation of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.
There is no cost for the briefing, but registration is required. To register, please contact Sarah Ruben at sarah.ruben@wcgpr.com or (608) 280-7520.
