Description
A "River Falls Reads" event, this hard-hitting 30-minute documentary short takes an unflinching look at this Central Asian nation's woeful public education system, where substandard facilities and vast economic inequalities have resulted in socially crippling illiteracy rates. A discussion of the film will follow. This year's book, 'Three Cups of Tea," is about Greg Mortenson's mission to build schools for the poor in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
