Description
Saxophonist Dave Herdan will present a concert at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls on Thursday, April 17th at 3 p.m. in Abbott Concert Hall. Accompanied by the Stolen Moments Quartet, Herdan will present original compositions as well as standard jazz repertoire. This concert is free and open to the public.
Based in Bowling Green, Ohio, Dave Herdan is a jazz saxophonist focused on performance and education. Herdan is currently earning his Master’s Degree in Music Performance- Jazz Studies at Bowling Green State University, studying with NYC saxophonist David Bixler. Focusing on jazz and classical saxophone as well as education, Dave earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumental Music Education at the University of Wisconsin- River Falls. While at UWRF, Herdan studied applied saxophone with David Milne. Dave Herdan has taught private lessons and has lead numerous jazz combos and large ensembles. He has also taught at numerous music camps, and has performed as a featured soloist and guest clinician with ensembles across the Midwest.
The Stolen Moments Quartet is a professional jazz group from River Falls, WI. Rotating members include: David Isakson- trumpet, Dave Herdan- saxophone, Nick Kiekenapp- guitar, Steve Clayton- bass, Alex Burgess- drums.
