Effective project management ensures that company resources-staff and budget-are strategically applied to achieve desired results. But even MBA-trained leaders are rarely trained to understand and apply proven project management principles. This hands-on session offers the insights and best practices you need to improve speed, reduce costs, ensure quality, manage scope creep, and properly track and review your projects. Participants in this program will learn how to: • Understand and be able to use a methodology that will equip them to deliver results within budget, on time and with agreed upon quality. • Manage the scope of the project, including identifying scope creep and changing priorities. • Be able to identify and manage risks, bottlenecks, barriers and potential problems. • Have an understanding of the skills, communication and leadership approaches to manage the execution of a project. • Have an understanding of the concepts and skills required to lead organizational change • Develop a project plan for their own project (project must be approved by instructors prior to workshop) The ability to effectively plan and manage projects is a critical leadership skill that, once mastered, will yield long-term results. Through this workshop, you'll work on a pre-determined project so you'll come away with results you can bring back to work on Monday morning. Even experienced managers will benefit from the recent developments, expert insights, shared experiences and group discussions delivered in this program.
