Description
Eau Claire author Cathy Sultan makes an apperance at the River Falls Library as part of its Fall Author Series.
Sultan, who lived in Beirut, Lebanon for 14 years with her Lebanese physician husband and two children, was caught up in that country's civil war in 1975. Although they tried to stick it out, eventually the family fled back to the United States. Years later she wrote "A Beruit Heart: One Woman's War," then "Israeli and Palestinian Voices: A Dialogue with Both Sides," and more recently "Tragedy in South Lebanon: The Israeli-Hezbollah War of 2006." Her books will be available for sale and signing.
