Description
UW-River Falls physics professor Eileen Korenic takes us back to the early days of NASA when beating the Russians in the race to the moon was the first priority. NASA started in 1958 as the US response to the Soviet satellite Sputnik I. The space race between the two superpowers has a seesawing history with triumphs and losses on both sides. NASA?s accomplishments include both technological and human knowledge advances that are fascinating and ongoing.
