DESCRIPTION:The River Falls Public Library will hold the following events: "Camp Cooking Secrets"\, A free talk by River Falls resident\, Cliff Jacobson at 7 pm. Thursday\, May 28. Jacobson will talk about food to make on canoeing and camping trips\, with an emphasis on entrees that are quick to prepare. His information is based on "Cooking in the Outdoors"\, a book from Jacobson's popular "Basic Illustrated" series on how to live well and safely\, in the wilderness. Many of  his books available that evening for sale and signing. "River Falls in the Rear View Mirror"\, Is the library's next exhibit. Organizers are seeking unusual photos of the city\, for example: Collins Lanes baseball or softball teams\, the 1950 A&W drive-in\, early day Glen Park photos\, etc. Artifacts brought to America from early immigrants are also sought\, expecially Swedish\, English and Bohemian items. Deadline for submissions is Monday\, June 1st.   "Floral/Garden Show" will be held in conjunction with the Hudson Women's Club annual ArtFull Gardens Tour. Organizers are seeking two or three dimensional original works of art from area residents. The exhibit will run from June 20 through July 18. Deadline for submissions is Monday\, June 15.
