SUMMARY:River Falls Days Community Forum
DESCRIPTION:Proposed Venue Relocation for River Falls Days\n\n\n\nRiver Falls' traditional summer celebration\, River Falls Days\, brings the community and thousands of visitors together for a weekend full of festivities. As a result of participation plateauing over the years\, a group of community members have come together to do some strategic planning in regard to potential improvement opportunities. During this process\, discussion has taken place in regard to the festival venue location. For many years First National Bank has been extremely generous in allowing use of their property\, but we felt it important to identify an alternative location as a backup if their property at some point became unavailable for use. While we still have permission to utilize the First National Bank property\, we are so excited about a new location that has been identified that we would like to consider the relocation to take place in conjunction with our 40th Annual River Falls Days celebration scheduled for July 10 13\, 2014.\n\nWith River Falls' iconic treasure of the Kinnickinnic River located in the heart of our community\, we are proposing to more prominently feature this gem by relocating River Falls Days just west of the river\, more specifically near Heritage Park\, Maple Street and green space north and east of City Hall. While there are still many steps to take place in the approval process\, I welcome you to attend a River Falls Days Community Forum on Monday\, December 16\, located at the River Falls Public Library at 6:30 p.m.
