The St. Croix Valley Community Band is a volunteer organization of approximately 80 musicians from River Falls, Hudson and surrounding communities. The ensemble has provided opportunities for local musicians to share their talents, develop their abilities, and make connections with other musicians since its inception in 1982 by director Kristin Tjornehoj. The band performs a wide variety of music, including symphonic band arrangements, marches, classical works, Dixieland, big band, musical theatre.

This 6-hour training series is designed to ready volunteers, advocates and those who work with trauma survivors. This training will prepare participants to serve as SCVRJP Restorative Response Volunteers. In this role, volunteers provide peer support on an individual 1-to-1 basis or in circle sessions.

Jul 7    Outdoor Summer Concert Series
The University of Wisconsin-River Falls annual free summer concert series, “Chill on the Hill,” kicks off Tuesday, June 23, in the Melvin Wall Amphitheatre, located on campus along the South Fork of the Kinnickinnic River.
 
The Outdoor Summer Concert series starts on June 23, - August 4, 2015 every Tuesdays at 7 p.m. The Chill on the Hill summer concerts are free and open to the public.
 
Grilled food, beverages, ice cream, and Rush River beer will be available for purchase. Carry-in alcoholic beverages are prohibited, but personal picnics and beverages are allowed. Smoking is prohibited and dogs must remain on leashes.

The St. Croix Valley Community Band is a volunteer organization of approximately 80 musicians from River Falls, Hudson and surrounding communities. The ensemble has provided opportunities for local musicians to share their talents, develop their abilities, and make connections with other musicians since its inception in 1982 by director Kristin Tjornehoj. The band performs a wide variety of music, including symphonic band arrangements, marches, classical works, Dixieland, big band, musical theatre.

Jul 26    St. Croix Animal Friends Community Dog Training Session - Hudson
St Croix Animal Friends have partnered with Nordic-Kin All Breed Training to offer the dog lovers of our community an opportunity to build effective communication with their animals. Trainer Anthony Church (Nordic-Kin@outlook.com) will lay the foundational material with a presentation while SCAF volunteers walk your dog on the grounds of E.P. Rock (all dogs must be leashed). Then, the dogs will be returned to the gymnasium so participants can practice the training techniques they just learned as Anthony and co-workers make their rounds performing one-on-one training attention. The University of Wisconsin-River Falls annual free summer concert series, “Chill on the Hill,” kicks off Tuesday, June 23, in the Melvin Wall Amphitheatre, located on campus along the South Fork of the Kinnickinnic River.
 
The Outdoor Summer Concert series starts on June 23, - August 4, 2015 every Tuesdays at 7 p.m. The Chill on the Hill summer concerts are free and open to the public.
 
Grilled food, beverages, ice cream, and Rush River beer will be available for purchase. Carry-in alcoholic beverages are prohibited, but personal picnics and beverages are allowed. Smoking is prohibited and dogs must remain on leashes.
