Name: Run With the Cops 5K for Special Olympics
Date: October 10, 2017
Time: 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM CDT
Event Description:
You’ve heard of a ride along, but what about a run along?  Join dozens of law enforcement officers for this 5k to benefit local Special Olympics athletes.  It’s the only time you’ll be allowed to legally outrun the cops!  This unique evening glow run follows a 5k run and 1 mile walk route on campus and through parts of downtown River Falls.  There’s also a Kids’ Obstacle Course in which the kiddos jump hurdles, round cones, weave through barricades and more all while competing with an Officer. Plus, a donut eating contest against the cops is guaranteed to be epic!  Open to all community members, families, college students and anyone interested in supporting Special Olympics WI.  Lights and sirens will lead the way and kids’ activities will include exploring a cop car, meeting the K9, getting an “official” police badge, and more.
Location:
The event will take place at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Campus.
